In Year 12 students continue to undertake the Northern Territory Certificate of Education and Training (NTCET). In order to accommodate a wide range of academic interests and strengths O’Loughlin Catholic College offers a broad selection of courses which allows each student to challenge themselves, develop and pursue existing passions, and set up pathways that lead to numerous university and career opportunities. In order to satisfy the requirements of the NTCET, students are able to select subjects from the disciplines of Arts; Business Enterprise and Technology; English; Health and Physical Education; Social Sciences; Mathematics and Sciences.

Students in Year 12 also have the opportunity to participate in the WorkReady Program. The program is designed to give students another pathway to successfully transition from school to work. It encourages students to undertake Vocational Educational Training (VET) courses that may lead to a School Based Apprenticeship. Therefore, in addition to studying Senior Secondary subjects at school two days per week, participating students also undertake external industry specific Vocational Educational Training.
