Mr. Nicholas Jack
Prior to joining O’Loughlin Catholic College in 2018 as Deputy Principal, Nicholas Jack has had extensive experience in a number of educational sectors including Catholic, independent and government schools in Victoria, the Northern Territory and the United Kingdom. Over his career, spanning eighteen years, he has been dedicated to providing students with opportunities to achieve their best. He is committed to working with colleagues to create a supportive and rewarding learning environments at both primary and secondary levels.
Nicholas has held management positions across a variety of faculties including Health and Physical Education, Music and Art. He has also led whole school extra-curricular activities as Director of Musical Productions, and overseen choir, band and instrumental programs. Nicholas’ musical background has provided him considerable music industry experience in performance, production and managing commercial music sales.
Nicholas understands that to fully engage students, a school curriculum and timetable needs to provide the opportunity for learners to experience and excel in creative and physical learning environments, as well as the spiritual and academic. To support a thriving wider school community, he encourages school based performance, competition and wider learning outside as well as inside of the usual normal school hours.
Nicholas is currently completing his Masters of Education with Edith Cowan University in Western Australia. He completed both his Bachelor of Music and Graduate Diploma in Secondary Education specialising in Music and Humanities, at Charles Darwin University. He also holds a Certificate IV (VET) qualification in Teaching and Assessment.
He is currently the Secretary of the Northern Territory School Boys Rugby Union.
