O'Loughlin Catholic College now offers Dance as part of our Creative Arts.
In Dance, students use the body to communicate and express meaning through purposeful movement of dance.
They choreograph dances by manipulating and combining the elements of dance, choreographic devices, form and production elements to communicate their choreographic intent. Students rehearse and perform sequences, demonstrating technical and expressive skills appropriate to the genre and style.
They explore the aesthetic, artistic and cultural understanding of dance in past and contemporary contexts and respect the diverse purposes, traditions, histories and culture of dance by responding as choreographers, performers and audience members.
