Year 11 Retreat

Vocation! Students are on a path thinking about the choices that they need to start making to help them with (not a job) but a vocation and what it means to be called to a passion area.

In this retreat students take the Myers Briggs personality test and then journal and do activities around where their gifts and talents might lead them in the future.

A message from our current Yr 11 Team Leader (Ms. Kara Handberg):

The term “vocation” comes from the Latin word “vocare”, meaning “to call”. Those who have a vocation feel that their work influences the greater good and has an impact far beyond themselves. They believe that their work truly utilises their unique gifts and talents, and this is what they were meant to do.

As a Catholic, a vocation is not just something that God calls us to do. It is not simply the giving of our skills, services, and expertise. Vocation is also the person that God calls us to be. It is the true expression of who we are, since God created us as unique individuals.

We look forward to you joining us on this special day.
