Year 8 Camp

Location: Litchfield Tourist Park

Duration: 2 nights, 3 days

Theme: Students will stay in tents in a base camp style setting within the Tourist Park and venture out to different locations to participate in a range of medium level challenge activities. This camp is designed to build relationships between the students, as well as the Homeroom Teachers, and to build a sense of community within the Year Level. Students will participate in adventurous activities that help them identify their strengths and also help them to develop a sense of self-identity and appreciation for nature.  Some of the activities will require the student to push themselves out of their normal comfort zone. The activities will provide students with active learning through fun and rewarding personal challenges in different and often beautiful settings. The program aims to help students realise their potential in communication, decision making, problem solving, resilience, team building, working collaboratively and leadership.
